NEH Deadline: Applications due 30 Sept. 2014 for projects beginning May 2015. There is a campus competition due (Aug 22nd) before the September deadline requiring a 2-page project description using clear writing appropriate for a non-expert in the applicant’s field of study.
Award info: 2 applications per campus. Duration: 2 months summer 2015. $6,000 per award.
Summary: Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two consecutive months. Summer Stipends support projects at any stage of development. Summer Stipends are awarded to individual scholars.
